If you have not seen the movie "War Room," it is a must see before it leaves the theaters!! Or if you do miss it, it is a movie you NEED to add to your collection. I certainly will get it!!

It is a powerful movie about the power of prayer. And not just prayer to be praying, but praying the Word of God and the power that can be demonstrated when one prayers IN FAITH - BELIEVING that God CAN DO IT!!

You may ask, why talk about prayer??? Well, I believe that is a very powerful vehicle to relay a message through, so check out this song and know that WE believe, without any doubt, that YOU ARE WORTH FIGHTING FOR!!!!

What is YOUR focus?

Greetings Ladies!

A new school year has begun for many of us. Some are still enjoying the lazy days of summer - sleeping late, riding our bikes, or just hanging out around the house.

As your school year gets started, what will be YOUR focus? True, there will be many things that try to gain your focus - teachers and homework, your friends, BOYS, parents, the latest fashions...I want to encourage you to let God be your primary lens through which you focus everything else through! "Huh?? What??" you may say...Yes, focus on God! He has your best interests in mind...and when you focus on Him, He reveals those mysteries to you so that you will grow and be the Young Ladies He has called you to be...

The month of September will be a month FOCUSED on how God sees you...it will be an exciting journey helping you to redefine, redesign, and reignite YOUR focus on the good of living. Join us on this journey...it will be grand!

The Launch...

Greetings!  Wanted to say a big, huge THANKYOU to everyone who attended the official launch of FOCUSED Ministries, Inc. on January 25th. It was a tremendous blessing being able to share w/the church the vision and mission that the Lord has given!  I was blessed when Geneva arrived w/her grand-daughter, ecstatic when I saw Elder and Sissy walk through the doors of the church, and excited to see Mrs. Thompson and Ginny! And, of course, w/MyDearOne (Mom) there, it made it all around special!! Missed those who could not attend, but this was just the first of many firsts!

A big thank you as well to those who celebrated w/us at the luncheon!!

To ALL who have supported me through the vision and mission of FOCUSED Ministries, Inc. - Family - Church family - Friends...THANK YOU!! The work has only yet begun, but the Lord will continue to lead and guide! So I pray you would continue to follow me as I follow Christ in this project!! God bless! LoveU

Blessings in 2015...

Pronouncing the blessing of the Lord over your life in 2015!!

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 (NIV):

1 If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. 4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. 6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

7 The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. 8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. 11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

 Thank God for the Word! It is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path!!  Amen and amen!!

We all have a story...

We all have a story to tell - our life story. Stories about survival, about perseverance, about strength, about overcoming, about heartache, about pain. The thing that I love about life stories is that no one can tell the story like you can. You were there in the pain. You were there in the victory of overcoming that obstacle. That is your testimony and no one can take that away! You're still here! Praise the Lord! You're still here! You are here for purpose to fulfill God's purpose in the Earth. You're still here because God planned for you to still be here. Now, imagine you...check this out...

We have been redeemed...

Here are the lyrics...kind of long, but the words speak a powerful, humbling truth...WE HAVE BEEN REDEEMED by God...redeemed means to make (something that is bad, unpleasant, etc.) better or more acceptable (Miriam dictionary). Yes, we were bad, unpleasant, and other synonyms, but God redeemed us through Jesus Christ! Amen...think about it...
